Third Annual Search and Rescue and Service Dog Day at the Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum

The Bear Search and Rescue Foundation will be honoring the following individuals and organizations for their extraordinary Service to Humanity:

Dr. Jane Goodall DBE, UN Messenger of Peace A lifetime of dedication to human and animal causes. Bill Doyle Outreach director of WTC United Family Group and leading 9/11 advocate New York State Workers Compensation Board providing healthcare treament for the volunteer rescue workers that labored at the World Trade Center site following September 11, 2001.

Spirit Cruise Lines providing ships that acted as triage and relief for rescue workers. Bill Logan outstanding Police K-9 Team of the year.

Angela Coyle creating a program of psychological counseling for firemen following the September 11th disaster. Operating Engineers Hazmat Lab being the only organization on the site communicating the toxic nature of the Ground Zero environment. Congressman Christopher Shays yeoman efforts to provide special assistance to September 11th victims, recuers and their families and his outstanding humanitarian efforts on their behalf.

Congressman Curt Weldon his lifetime of commitment to promoting training, equipping and the welfare of emergency workers throughout the United States, in so doing protecting all the citizens of this country.

Jon Paul Augier his heroic feat of climbing seven stories to rescue the head of customs after the World Trade Center buildings collapsed on September 11th, 2001.

Congresswoman Caroline Maloney of New York giving special assistance to 9/11 victims, rescuers and their families. David Carnes rescuing two port authority police officers on September 11, 2001.

"Duke" Bonderow His contributions as a therapy dog for September 11th victims and rescuers.

David Bale His lifetime of commitment to both human and animal causes. His spirit is sorely missed.

Mariner III & Chelsea Screamer selflessness and contributions at the site of the World Trade Center.

John Krevi organizing the resciue efforts in New York Harbor and transporting & tending to the needs of civilians following the September 11th disaster.

National Mint being a key sponsor both finan

cialy and in spirit of the Bear Search and Rescue Foundation and providing funding for search and rescue teams around the United States. Mt. Sinai Hospital providing a health study of the World Trade Center rescue workers following September 11, 2001 and for arranging for their medical care.

John O'Rourke volunteer rescue work at the site

of the World Trade Center following September 11, 2001, and continuing efforts on behalf of 9/11 vicitims to get funding for their needs. Trial Lawyers Care Defense of 9/11 victims.

Chris Velez assisting the citizens of the City of New York and with the recovery of victims at the site of the World Trade Center following the September 11th disaster.

"Trouble" contributions in defense of the nation as Homeland Security K-9 Team of the Year.

New York State Search and Rescue Its team's efforts "so that others may live" and its contributions to the safety and security of the citizens of New York and theUnited States.

Southbridge Police Department Its team's service to the citizens of New York as one of first rescuers from outside NY inside the site of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Capt & Crew of USCG Katherine Walker its outstanding efforts, coordinated marine rescue efforts at the World Trade Center, and for its contributions to the safety and security of the citizens of New York City.

The mission of the Bear Search and Rescue Foundation is to fund transport, equipment, and training for SAR teams across the nation "so that others may live."
