This event will recognize heroes of the two- and four-legged variety
as well as showcase all kinds of service dogs from guide and therapy
to military, customs and companion dogs with an emphasis on Search
and Rescue Dogs & Federal Service K-9s. Last year's event was
the largest service dog event in United State's history. The event
is hosted by The Bear Search and Rescue Foundation, a not-for-profit
501(c)(3) organization provide training, equipping, and transport
of both canine and non-canine SAR teams across the country and to
provide health care to all search and rescue (SAR) K-9s that worked
at Ground Zero and the Pentagon after the 9/11 disaster.
